Love Thy Earth
Today was Earth Day. Usually, I would have gone to a festival or something…but this year I didn’t. I spent most of the day outside, as the weather was wonderful. It was about 75 degrees and sunny all day. I got my first sunburn of the year. Usually I burn a little bit once and then tan after that. When I lived in Florida I was tan all the time, but now that I live where it’s only consistently sunny for 4 months of the year I am deathly white for most of the year. I’m sure I’ll get a nice tan over in Vietnam.
My parents get back from Florida tomorrow, and my brother returns on Tuesday. Even though this is an extremely nice house, with every amenity I could ever want…it will be nice to get back to my own house, my own bed, etc…
I spent a lot of time reading the Fodor’s Vietnam travel book. It seems pretty good. It has lots of interesting tips, recommendations for site-seeing and restaurants. Vietnam is somewhere I’ve always wanted to visit, along with Japan, Laos, China, and much of the rest of South East Asia. Asian cultures have long held a special interest for me.
Three people using my agency are currently in Vietnam getting their children. If you want to follow their blogs, here they are:

I always feel like I have so much more to say when I think about writing a blog entry, and then I actually sit down and write it, all the important stuff I was considering either evacuates my mind, or it no longer seems like a good topic to write about. Not sure why, but that’s what seems to happen.
