Home Sweet Home
We are home! I got Parker’s visa on Friday, May 25. I was able to arrange flights back leaving on Sunday, instead of Wednesday as originally planned. I am so glad to be home, but miss Vietnam as well. I do not miss travelling and living out of a suitcase, that’s for sure! Parker was WONDERFUL on the return flights. He did not cry once, except on the last leg from Seattle to Cleveland and that was only because he peed through his diaper. I am so proud of him, he did aamzingly well for 20 hours of flying and 8 hours of layovers.
I arrived home with Parker at 6:30 AM Monday the 28th. We are both tired, but doing pretty well. Parker is sleeping right now. I’ve gotten maybe 8 hours of sleep over the last 3 days. Yesterday, my parents picked us up at the airport and then Parker and I stayed at their house for 5 or 6 hours. My brother and his family came to visit and meet Parker, too. We all had a nice picnic in the backyard. It was great to be home and see family (and my dog!!) again.
Here’s a picture of Parker on his changing pad at home. I’m gonna cut this off here since he’ll be up soon and I want to get some stuff unpacked before that! More soon.
