Days of The Dragon

Nothing- Just Nothing

Parker An has been asleep since about 7:30, his usual…and tonight I feel like doing absolutely nothing, even though my house is really kind of messy by my standards (I don’t like when things start to feel cluttered). I also need to mop my kitchen floor and put away about 120 jars of baby food that I stocked up on over the weekend. I also want to work on some blog posts, and I have a couple books that I’m trying to read. But, really, I don’t feel like doing anything at all tonight except vegetating on the couch.

Parker is oh so close to taking his first step. He can free-stand for several seconds now. I’m sure it won’t be too long before he’s able to take a step. I actually can’t wait, I prefer that to crawling. At least if he’s walking around and getting into things, then his hands won’t get totally dirty from crawling everywhere.

Tonight Parker had his first whole peas, I gave him 3 from what the can I was eating (yes, I like peas so much that I eat them straight from the can). He seemed to like them, but he’s still not keen on foods you need to chew. He needs more time to be a baby, and I’m perfectly fine with that!

I met with a lawyer today about carrying out a re-adoption. It will be easy, but expensive, close to $1000. Ugh.

Your little boy is about to take his first step… you should not worry about the “doing nothing”,… once he starts walking, these opportunities may be fewer and farther between. Enjoy. BTW… love the dino look on him… sooooo cute.

  2. Teresa says:

Parker is a busy guy isn’t he!!!! Sounds like he is developing well. Keep up the good daddying!!!

  3. Susan says:

I think you’ll absolutely love it when Parker begins walking. It’ll be a whole new world for him and you, and it’s great. I was afraid I’d miss the little baby stage, but every day brings something new, so I find I’m just excited about watching Petunia learn and grow. Honestly, I haven’t had time to miss the baby stage! LOL.
