The Tantrum

Something most parents dread, the tantrum can take many forms, but almost always involves seemingly senseless crying or screaming (though in reality it actually makes a lot of sense and is an important part of growing up!).

Parker An is in the research phase of tantrums. This phase began just about a week or so ago. If he gets upset enough or begins to lose control he will sometimes lie down on his stomach and lay his head on the ground, all while semi-crying.

Right now it’s more amusing than anything, but I’m sure this research phase will give way to clinical trials and a release version of the weapon in the not-so-distant future.

  1. Erica says:

Yeah, I remember my niece trying that out for the first time. She lowered herself to the ground (I guess she was afraid of hurting herself), began rolling around and kind of whining. I looked at her for a moment, laughed and told her she was going to do a whole lot more than that before she got me worked up. She’s 2 1/2 and really doesn’t do much in the tantrum department. That might change once she has a sibling. Good luck with Parker’s “trials”.

  2. Kathy F. says:

Ah, let’s definitely keep him and Adam apart — Adam is an EXPERT at the full-fledged, headbanging, screaming until purple tantrum. LOL!
