Days of The Dragon

Last Weekend in April

I am planning on posting something about all the recently published information pertaining to adoptions from Viet Nam - but, I’m still working on it. I have some harsh things to say, and I’m not the most eloquent writer - so, I’m trying to say things in as diplomatic a way as possible. Maybe later today, or tomorrow.

This weekend was fun!

My brother’s fourth (and final) daughter was born this past Thursday. Her name is Ali Morgan. I’m taking Parker An over on Wednesday to see her. It will be the first time he’s seen a little baby.

We went to the zoo on Saturday. Parker also got his first hair cut on Saturday - he did not enjoy the experience. It looks really cute, but I miss the longer hair, so I’ll probably let it grow out for a few months. We also did some playing in the back yard, and read the same four books about 30 times :) I’ll post some pictures of him with the new haircut when I get a chance.

On Sunday, my parents came over for lunch, and we went to a park that is on a lake. Parker liked the boats, and was very interested in both the geese and some giant seed pods that were all over on the ground. After that we went to get some ice cream at Strickland’s; they make a homemade-style soft-serve ice cream - like Dairy Queen but creamier. Parker had ice cream for the first time - just a little vanilla. He liked it a lot, but in the end I think he liked the cone more.

I also had my Vietnamese lesson, which went well. We started working on the sounds that vowel combinations make (ua, oa, ai, etc). My tutor says she can tell I’m making some progress on pronunciation. Yay me!
