Pears and Squash
This years homegrown bounty has come to an end. Our pear tree did great this year – got about 20 pears from it. Here’s a picture of the pears still on the tree. They are so soft and sweet, 100 times better than store bought ones. Parker ate 5 of them this past week.

And, here are the last two butternut squash of the year.

I would love fruit trees! I had a tomato plant this year that gave me all of four plants. I think it was more interested in its leaves. My cucumbers looked pathetic too. Looks like you did a good job!

It’s the only fruit tree I have - bought it for $10 at the end of the season at Home Depot (it was pitiful looking!). Amazingly, it really took off last year and this year gave lots of pears.
I’ve never had luck with cucumbers - something always goes wrong and I get these nasty little things that taste gross.
