Wear Pants On Your Head, It’s Good For You

Parker has determined that the best type of hat is really a pair of pants! When I first put these on him he wasn’t too sure…then I showed him what it looked like in the mirror and the kid cracked up laughing – like fall on the floor cracking up with laughter. He then pranced around the house with them on for the next hour.

I have also discovered the true purpose of matchbox cars. They are perfectly useful bran flakes transportation devices!

I went a couple weeks ago to a local bike store with Parker and he couldn’t get enough. Every time we drive by he talks about the bike store. I told him that when all the snow melts daddy is going to buy a bike and we’ll go bike riding together. Thanks to a few days of upper 40s (near 60 this week!!!) the snow is about half gone and Parker is reminding me that when the snow is gone I will get a bike. So, looks like I’ll be buying a bike in the next week or two!

He also asked for a new dog yesterday. I’ve mentioned it a couple times over the last couple months, and today we were in the kitchen and he went over to where Lexi’s bowl used to be and said, “dog eat kitchen.” I was surprised he remembered seeing as she’s been dead for 6 or 7 months now. After a minute he said, “get new dog?” Not sure when, but if we move this year, then maybe I’ll get a new Dane.

Oh, and it’s Darwin Week, this year celebrating the 200th anniversary and Freedom to Marry week.
