Been too long since I’ve done a Doing Good Entry! The next in the series is Humanitarian Services For Children of Viet Nam.
This organization does many things to help those in need in Viet Nam. They have programs that range from direct sponsorship of children and families to helping provide medical treatment, rice, and bicycles.

I’m so pleased to see you feature this group (please as in tearing up I’m so happy about it)! This is the group that my agency partnered with for their adoption program in VN. I met the gentleman who created this organization twice. Their connection to what I hoped would be my adoption was both my greatest motivation to stick it out and my biggest heartbreak when the adoption program wouldn’t fall into place. I know that the man behind this group has the greatest passion for what they do and that they have a tremendous dedication to and impact on those they are helping. It was so powerful for me to have thought that the fees for my adoption could directly go to a heart operation for a young child or compassion house for a family in need – and I mean DIRECTLY. Alas the connections and good they were able to do with HSCV simply did not translate to connections and good within the adoption program parameters there – apples and oranges which I know they did not anticipate.
So that’s a long way of saying I’m thrilled to see HSCV recognized in your Doing Good series because while I never got to witness it first-hand in Vietnam I know in my heart their commitment and drive to make a difference.

Wow, that’s really interesting. I always like hearing actual personal stories from people who know the organizations I highlight. This, Blue Dragon, and Hoi An Foundation are my favorite that do work in VN.
